First Aid Training & Courses

B-9 Fire Protection Ltd offer First Aid Courses for company employees and individuals that are especially suited and tailored to the needs of local businesses.

Courses start at £85 (plus VAT) per person and can be held at our training premises in Burgess Hill, West Sussex or at the clients own premises.

First Aid Training

We offer the following courses:

First Aid at Work

This course is designed to give delegates the knowledge and confidence to deal with a first aid emergency in the workplace and is recommended by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). The aim of the course is to give a good knowledge of First Aid in the workplace and to give employers a certificated First Aider to comply with the regulations and the approved code of practice (ACOP).

Duration

This is a three day course  but we can design a course to suit your needs so please call to discuss our flexible plan over 1 week or several days.

Objective

Successful completion of the course and examination will enable candidates to:

  • Identify potentially hazardous situations
  • Quickly and efficiently alert the emergency services
  • Provide First Aid to work colleagues
  • Ensure First Aid equipment is up to date and correct
  • Act as the First Aider in the work place

First Aid At Work Re-qualification

This course is aimed at First Aiders who need to renew their First Aid At Work certificate. The re-qualification course is designed to update and refresh people's knowledge and covers both theoretical and practical sessions. The students are continually assessed on the basis of their performance during the course, and in a 20-minute practical examination, and a 20-minute theory examination.

Successful candidates will receive the full HSE approved First Aid at Work certificate which is valid for a further three years.

This is a two day course

Objective

Successful completion of the course and examination will enable candidates to:

  • Identify potentially hazardous situations
  • Quickly and efficiently alert the emergency services
  • Provide First Aid to work colleagues
  • Ensure First Aid equipment is up to date and correct
  • Act as the First Aider in the work place

Emergency First Aid At Work (EFAW)

This is an HSE approved course and is ideally aimed for smaller, or lower risk work places that present few health and safety risks, where a nominated Emergency First Aid at Work First Aider is required to take charge in the event of an injury, accident or illness. It covers basic emergency aid and workplace health and safety regulations and is a combination of theoretical and practical sessions.

Successful candidates will be awarded an HSE approved certificate.
