Fire Warden Training

In addition to the Fire Awareness training course, this course is designed to explain the responsibilities and duties of a Fire Warden, ensuring that all delegates will be confident in the actions taken in the event of hearing the fire alarm or upon discovering a fire. A short examination will be carried out to assess the delegates' understanding of the items covered. All delegates attending the Fire Warden training course will be issued a course attendance certificate.

• Fire precautions, regulations and legislation
• Chemistry of fire and how fire spreads
• Common causes of fire
• Safety features within buildings
• Action upon discovering a fire
• Calling the fire service
• Hazard spotting / hazard reduction
• Fire notices
• Evacuation rocedures
• Evacuating people with special needs
• Record keeping
• Staff induction

Duration:

• 2-3 hours (dependant on attendees)

This course can be booked as a continuation of the fire awareness course, or booked separately.
